This means that we want to see the institutional firms and brokerages--the entities that actually move the markets--participating in the instrument that we are looking at.  The requirement for institutional involvement is one of the core concepts within The TSI Method ™....and is also an effective hedge against HFT (High-Frequency Trading).

6Our Goal is to help you to learn how to trade without emotion. The decision to take a trade is a simple process: 1.) Scan the markets for opportunities; 2.) Confirm or deny trigger signals; 3.) Decide to take the trade, or decide not to take the trade. A trade should never be "made on a whim." A trader's most regretful trade is often the one where the purchase decision was based on frustration, anger, panic, or fear that an opportunity had been lost. And this defines our next goal....

Learn to accept this, disassociate your emotions, and concern yourself only with the present, and maintaining your vigilance.

8Our Goal is to help you to learn how to never trade mid-trend.  When you can identify and enter a trend in its initial stages, you are less likely to enter a position near the apex of the trend, you are less likely to enter a position when institutional Money Flow is decelerating, and your profitability will increase substantially.
